Mostly a present for *Tasharene, but I figured I'd post it here 'cause I do get asked for hair-painting advice here and there.
Crap you need for this:
Photoshop (personally, I use 7)
A pressure-sensitive graphics tablet
Basic knowledge of layers, and how to select and use custom brushes (you COULD do this without a special hair texturing brush, it'll just take longer)
No smudge brush was used. This is pure paintbrush and eraser stuff.
Addendum: As an alternative to erasing at the end, making a layer mask works wonders, and is now what I use.
