Because I look down my nose at people who are afraid of sharing their precious "trade secrets", and the more eye candy there is in the world, the better. I just hope no one's eyes blister from looking at the ugly tutorial. :devilish:

Kali is a tiny, free program that can best be described as the adorable love-child of MS Paint and a Spirograph. You can find it here: [link]

I had it on my computer for years before it occurred to me that some of the things one can make in it would be an excellent starting point for knotwork, and once I started experimenting with that, it became rather addictive. As I implied in the tutorial, it works just fine for non-knotwork designs, too.

My advance apologies for any incoherency or misspellings herein. It's the middle of National Novel Writing Month and my brain is dripping out through my ears. :D

The Queen of Air and Darkness
begins to shrill and cry
"O young girl, o my slayer,
Tomorrow you shall die!"
O Queen of Air and Darkness
I think 'tis truth you say
and I will die tomorrow
but you will die today.
If I ever find the time to experiment with Kali and knotwork, this will be very useful. Thank you for sharing!

"Add shiny crap to distract and confuse people..."

xD That really made me laugh.

This is cool though. I'm interested to try this now. Thanks for the tutorial and the link to the program!

~I'd give you my heart, but I might want it back.~

Comments are appreciated. Thank you!
Aw man, does ANYONE know of a program similar to Kali? I'm running OS X 10.5 and it doesn't support the program.

I'm really just looking for any kind of program, plugin, etc that will create spirograph type patterns.
